Tactical MMO shooter for mobile
Standoff 2 is a free action game for mobile coming from developer Axlebolt Ltd. It's a first-person MMO shooter that has players form teams and face one another in tactical matches. They will compete and rise through the ranks and earn rewards and prestige.
Much like other shooters in the genre, such as Call of Duty: Mobile and Project: BloodStrike, Standoff 2 is all about strategizing and utilizing tactics to gain an edge in battle. With an arsenal of weapons and skill-based gameplay, it will put players to the test to see who will come out on top.
Standoff-ish
Counter-Strike GO(CS: GO) is one of the greatest and most influential MMO shooters of all time. Many have tried to replicate the experience on mobile through the years, and one of them was Standoff. The game had its quirks but was fun and engaging overall. A few years later, here comes its successor in the form of Standoff 2, bringing with it a new perspective and some well-deserved updates.
The first big change in this sequel is the transition from third-person to first-person perspectives, making for a more immersive feel. Aside from the usual graphical updates, it also now has support for 120fps gaming for smoother gameplay. Weapons have always been based on real-life gun models, and things have been tweaked for more realistic gun mechanics, complete with skins and stickers for personalization.
The game also has multiple game modes to choose from that put player ranks on the line, making each encounter high-stakes. You can even create or join a clan to take on others for the promise of fame and glory as you reap the rewards of your victories. The only things of note would be the somewhat repetitive map designs and random glitches from time to time.
Pocket CS: GO
Standoff 2 is basically the mobile version of CS: GO that fans have been asking for so long. It takes the essence of what made the classic shooter so great and distills it into short gameplay experiences that still feel whole and engaging. If you've been playing first-person shooters for a while now, you'll understand and see for yourself when you start playing them. It gets a solid recommendation.
